Their significance in various biological processes has made them attractive targets for drug development. However, the challenge lies in distinguishing kinases present in prokaryotes, such as probiotic strains or pathogenic bacteria, from those in eukaryotes. By developing a project to differentiate these kinases, we can unlock many opportunities for designing highly specific drugs to combat eukaryotic diseases and infections caused by pathogens.
