We present our project, Stock Insights from Global News Sentiments, which focuses on leveraging sentiment analysis to predict stock price movements. Global events such as pandemics and election outcomes have a profound impact on stock prices. Our objective is to predict stock trends based on sentiment analysis of financial and geopolitical news. This project aims to optimize trading strategies, assist investors in making informed decisions. Using model predictions, we simulated a trading strategy where stocks are bought, sold, or held based on predicted probabilities. The portfolio's annual growth rate improved significantly with our models compared to a buy-and-hold strategy. This demonstrates the practical application of our methodology in enhancing investment strategies.
