- A Resume and LinkedIn are expected for industry opportunities. Distinguish between an industry-facing resume and an academic CV, and review how to develop a professional resume and LinkedIn profile.

Foundations: Part 1

Resume Building & the Application Process

In this video, Suzanne introduces you to our online profile and job application system and walk you through the basics and best practices for developing your Resume and LinkedIn profile.


Project/Homework Instructions

Before Session #2 (10/11/2023):

❏ Create a one page resume (Profile –>Job-Help).

❏ Create a draft Professional Profile.

❏ Upload your resume to your Erdős Profile.

❏ Develop your LinkedIn profile.

❏ Develop a List of Target Open Roles, including Partner Companies.

❏ Schedule an appointment with your Erdős Career Development Advisor


Before Sessions #3 (11/15/2023):

❏ Reach out to 3 (or more!) individuals in your network to set up an informational interview.

❏ Continue to think about who is in your network, craft your elevator pitch, polish your resume, and develop the list of open roles you are interested in.


Attend a Beavioral Interview Prep Session and complete the following:

1. Submit your resume to your Erdős Profile

2.Consent to have your resume submitted to the Partner Companies (Get your resume into circulation!)

3. Review common interview questions prepared our team

4. Inform your Erdős Advisor of progress and update your Profile with activity

5. Practice, practice, practice!!


Be on the lookout for additional information about our partner companies to help you prep for potential interviews with them.
