Project/Homework Instructions

For those who want to have practice interviews, you have the option of signing up to meet with small groups. If you sign up, I (Lindsay) will add you to a private Slack channel where we can communicate about these problems. I will also add you to our private GitHub repo, which will only be visible to those who are actively preparing for interviews.

There are 9 sets of practice interview questions. Here is the way that will work:

  • Every week, you will have an assigned study area (example: statistics, product/business knowledge). During the first part of the week, you will be expected to read the corresponding chapter of "Ace the Data Science Interview" and the relevant sections in our Technical Interview Resources page.
  • At the end of the week, you will meet with your practice group on Zoom (schedule your sessions here). During this session, you will go to our GitHub page and open that week's problem set. Each group member will take turns answering the questions as if they were in an interivew. This will test not only your knoweldge of the topic, but how well you perform under pressure, simulating the interview experience.
