Overview
This is a self-study group for Topological Data Analysis. We will study some parts of the textbook "Computational Topology for Data Analysis" by Tamal Krishna Dey and Yusu Wang. We plan to meet weekly and discuss the corresponding sections together. (The zoom meetings will not be recorded.) We also aim to do a project using TDA methods that we learn.

This is an alumni-led study group. Different registrants will be presenting on different TDA topics through the course of this study group.
Objectives
(1) reviewing the background needed for TDA
(2) learning persistent homology and related packages
(3) learning graphical summaries in TDA and related packages
(4) learning topological machine learning methods
(5) completing a TDA based project at the end of the study sessions
