Let's assume an aviation accident has occurred - what factors contribute to the severity of this accident? To begin to answer this question, our team collected and cleaned NTSB data on aviation accidents in the United States from 2008 to present day. We use a series of machine learning ensembles of classifiers and regressors to predict 1.) The severity of damage to aircraft involved in accidents, and 2.) The proportion of serious and fatal injuries of aircraft involved in aviation accidents.
